As a Tangata Tiriti, Zoë believes in the potential of architects and architecture to be good Treaty partners - to foster an approach where architecture, through empathy and sustainable design, can care for Papatūānuku, tangata whenua, and tauiwi.
About Zoë
She is passionate about the way architecture can build strong communities and promote social justice. Her zest is grounded in six years with The Wellington Free Store (a community of food redistribution), studying Te Reo Māori, and working for a non-profit architecture firm in Mexico.
Zoe has recently completed her Masters of Architecture thesis at VUW, which investigated the way architecture could be approached as a community practice through co-design with the Wellington Free Store.
She is captivated by the First Light vision to make good built spaces accessible through thoughtful design.
