Fair Acres NZIA Win Honours Whānau and Thoughtful Design
Eli takes the stage.
Last week, Eli, Shaz, and Nick travelled to the 2025 NZIA Western Local Architecture Awards to tautoko the regional finalists and celebrate our very own NZIA win for Fair Acres Townhouses — a deeply meaningful project for our team and one that honours the legacy of the late Dr Eileen Fair, the client and visionary behind the development.
Fair Acres was awarded for its thoughtful response to sustainability and site. Built using CLT prefab construction, the townhouses bring warmth and rhythm, providing enduring homes for a connected community. Designed with people at its core, the project reflects our belief that good architecture should uplift and support everyday life.
The awards night was not only about recognition, but about whanaungatanga - a chance to share the moment with Eileen’s whānau, celebrate regional design excellence, and acknowledge the generosity and intention that shaped every project.
We’re honoured to see Fair Acres recognised alongside other exceptional work across the Western region.
Special thanks to Te Kāhui Whaihanga, NZIA and the event sponsors Resene and APL
