The Treehouse
Currently under construction
On a tiny slice of land, reached only on foot and shared with cherished native trees, this dwelling proves that small can be spacious, and that living lightly can still feel abundant.
Tucked into a small slice of land in Hataitai, accessible only by foot and shared with cherished native trees, this infill dwelling shows what’s possible on the most challenging of sites. With a footprint of just 24m², the one-bedroom mezzanine home has been carefully designed to make every inch count—proving that small can still feel generous.
Built by Boon Construction, with all materials carried in by hand, the project is a celebration of craft, resilience, and smarter ways of living. It’s a home that sits lightly on the land while offering a thoughtful approach to compact living.
